How fast will you ship an item?
Mary’s loves selling you exactly what you’re looking for, so we always ship your items as quickly as possible- usually within one business day(meaning if you order on a Tuesday, it normally will ship out on Wednesday)! If you’ll be requesting expedited shipping (one and two day air) be sure to submit your order by 11 a.m. PST so we can ship that same day.

What shipment method is normally used by Mary’s?
Normally we use UPS or USPS for our deliveries. Because we know your Mary’s goodies are important to you, orders over $250 will require a signature at delivery to be sure they make it safely into your hot little hands (see options below*). If you place an order to be shipped to an address other than your billing address (maybe it’s a gift. You’re so thoughtful!), a signature will also be required on delivery. Before we ship, we’ll give you a call to confirm that we’re shipping to the correct address (you know what they say: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of things being shipped to the wrong address and causing all sorts of trouble”). Of course, orders delivered to PO Boxes will be shipped via USPS.

What happens when an item is out of stock?
Oh no! That awesome thing you really need is all sold out! Fear not, friends. We’ll get it ordered from our vendor and ship it to you as soon as it comes in. Mary’s has great relationships with all our vendors (probably because we pay our bills on time). So if what you ordered can be gotten, we’ll go get it for you.

Plus, we’ll also keep in touch so you’ll know we haven’t forgotten about you.

What’s the return policy on saddles?
We love saddles and we know you do too or you wouldn’t be thinking about ordering one. Because they’re so special and important and lovable (and expensive!), you’ll understand when we say that whether you order one over the phone or from our site, you’ve got four days from when you receive it to give it a try. So try it right away! If the weather is bad or your horse has a cold and is grumpy or you’ve broken your foot and you just can’t give it a good try, call us. Let us know. We’re super reasonable and accommodating but you’ve gotta tell us if there’s a problem. Customers are limited to a maxiumum of 4 saddle trials. After that, there is a service charge per saddle trial.

Once you’re ready to give the saddle a real try, remember that it’ll need to come back to us in the exact condition you received it should you decide to return or exchange. To make sure that happens:
_____ always wrap your leathers before you ride. Try plastic wrap or an old tube sock with the toe cut off.
_____ never wear tall boots or chaps (half or full!) as they can leave dark marks that the next lover of the saddle _____ won’t love so much.
_____always use a saddle pad between your horse and the saddle to keep those panels and flaps sweat-free
_____never oil or clean the saddle unless you’re ready to give it its forever home.
_____always remember that after 4 days the saddle is YOURS!

What happens if I return a saddle marked or damaged?
If you’re careful and follow our super helpful tips, we shouldn’t really have this problem. Because you love saddles! And you’re happy to take care of the ones you’re trying! If there is damage or signs of use on the saddle, however, we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee to compensate for fixing it or to make up for the discount we’ll have to give the next person who wants to buy it. If the marks or damage are very severe, you may have bought yourself a saddle. So be careful!

Consignment/Used Saddles
Here at Mary’s, we really enjoy being able to offer you quality used saddles at excellent prices. We do our very best to keep the inventory on our website up to date, but because each consignment saddle is unique and is also available for sale on our retail sales floor, it could be sold before we have a chance to update the site. If that happens, we promise to call you as soon as we can to let you know and help you choose something else that fits your needs. If you do purchase a used or consignment saddle from us, because we can’t know its entire history, it comes with no warranty expressed or implied.

What is Mary’s return policy on other products?
Sometimes it happens. That lovely item is just a little too big or a bit too small or the shade of red doesn’t really match the way you hoped it would. No worries. Just give us a call before you mail it back OR click here to fill out & submit our online returns/exchange form within 90 days of purchase. Then be sure your product is in its original packaging in unused condition and send it back inside a shipping box.

Please don’t put the shipping label directly on your product packaging. You don’t want someone to buy a pair of boots with your address on it, right? Include your transaction #, name, address and reason for return or exchange along with your item and we’ll happily refund the purchase price (minus the shipping charges). And unless you really like living life on the edge, we definitely recommend that you use an insured and trackable shipping company (UPS, FEDEX or USPS Insured).

For International Customers
Please remember that packages will be sent at correct valuation to your address. International customers are responsible for any tariffs, taxes or other fees receiving their items. If an international customer does need to return an item, please remember that you must pay any tariffs, taxes or other fees generated by returning an item to Mary's. Those packages that have postage, taxes or tariffs due will be refused.

Saddle Fitting Information
We know how it is- some horses are just really hard to fit. If you’re having a really challenging time finding a saddle to fit your one-of-a-kind horse and you’re about to throw up your hands and resign yourself to riding bareback for the rest of your life, Mary’s is happy to offer the “saddle fit assist”, which allows you to trailer your horse to our Del Mar location where a Mary’s trained fitter will evaluate a whole slew of saddles to narrow down which ones are worth a good trial and which can be ruled out. Other Super Helpful Tips
If you paid by check you’ll be refunded by check - a minimum of 10 business days are required for payment.

Credit card purchases will be refunded to the same credit card used for payment.

For a full refund, your items for return or exchange must be in new and unused condition, with their original packaging. We don’t like doing it, but a re-stocking fee or refusal of return might occur if these requirements are not met because, well, no one wants to buy used stuff at new prices.

Sometimes, based on mfg recommendations, we may offer to repair your item rather than exchange it.

Please remember, no returns after 90 Days from date of purchase.

Always include a receipt when you return merchandise. There’s just no other way for us to establish purchase history.

If you’re buying a present (yes, you really are so thoughtful!), be sure to ask us for a gift receipt.
